The Healing Power Of Acupressure and Acupuncture

I wrote my first book because I believed the Taoist folk history I had studied over the years contained some critical clues that could help address the mystery of the origins of acupuncture and Chinese medicine theory. I had a strong interest in educating the public about this healing system and felt our inability to document how acupuncture first began or how the theories behind Chinese medicine were originally inspired allowed critics to claim acupuncture and its theories were based in superstition or uncritical thinking. I felt certain this was not the case and so began a several year long process of researching and exploring these issues. While this book was written for the general public, I believe it contains insights that can help put the seemingly confusing Taoist thinking behind Chinese medicine theory into perspective for students and practitioners.
